TAJIR WILLIAMS SCHOLARSHIP FUND (TWSF)
This year, Khuts will award X scholarships totaling $4,500 (USD):
REQUIREMENTS
The Tajir Williams Scholarship Fund was created in memory of Tajir Williams and to enable Black and African American students to attend college and pursue a higher education. The goal is to empower future generations to do and be more than what their environment tempts them to be.
To be considered for a Scholarship, you must:

Be a US-based high school senior or incoming college sophomore of Black or African descent (for example, African American, African, Ethiopian, etc.)

Plan to attend a four-year college or university in the US in the fall immediately following your high school graduation or upcoming FA ’23 semester.

Plan to pursue a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, computer information systems, or select majors and business programs (such as finance, business administration, or marketing).

Demonstrate a passion for technology and provide examples of a lack of black representation.
​

Demonstrate leadership at school or in the community.
​

Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher for high school graduates or a GPA of 3.1 or higher for college students.

Require financial assistance to attend college.
HOW TO APPLY
To apply for a portion of the Tajir Williams Scholarship Fund, submit your application online by JULY 15, 2022 with the following items:

Résumé.
Your résumé should include the following information:

Extracurricular activities (school and community related)
-
Honors and awards that you may have received (if possible, include awards that are technology/community related)

Work experience

Summary Video.
In no more than 5-7 minutes (10 minutes maximum) your summary video should include:

Introduction of yourself (where you are from, background, who you are, etc)

Speak about something you’re passionate about and how you plan to use this scholarship to help you in your academic career.

Describe how you plan to propel your community forward through your pursuit of education and what about your major that brings joy/fuels you.

Lastly, demonstrate your financial need for this scholarship.
